Just dropped: Drone paintings, with turbulence.

Today visionary artist and technologist Addie Wagenknecht is dropping three new drone paintings on Foundation.

Addie has always seen technology as something to be hacked, subverted, and experimented with. To make DRONESCAPES, she wrote software that can mimic the turbulence and velocity of a drone in flight, and generate a digital painting at the same time.

With today’s launch on Foundation, she’s set a pricing curve that could rise with as much turbulence and velocity as a drone in flight. Tokens start from $1, and max out at $1000.

As an early collaborator with the Foundation team, Addie gets what’s possible in the cultural-crypto space. Besides being an internationally renowned, New York Times-featured artist with work in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, she’s also embedded in the blockchain community, and has a deep understanding for how p2p, open-source, and decentralized technologies can shape the future.

In an interview with Lindsay Howard, our Head of Community, Addie shares insights on why she paints with drones, how creative economies can benefit from blockchain technologies, and all that’s possible for the future.
